M.I.B.Greetings,

Just a quick post about this past weekend that I know everyone will enjoy.

This Sunday February 24th 2013 was the Annual Polar Plunge Fundraiser for the Special Olympics.
If your not familiar with this event, it’s were people and or teams volunteer to jump into Half Moon Lake to get people to donate to them or their team. The funds are donated directly to the Special Olympics Organization.

Well, Yours Truly, along with Brothers James Kent (Deputy District #5 and Past Master of G.B.W.), Brian Trowbridge (JW BuffaloRiver Lodge #252…. Created a team called “The Frozen Freemasons” headed by Multi-Time Plunger James Kent,
Brian Trowbridge is no stranger to this event, but this being my first time, and being asked to take part was a little nervous about it, but when a Fraternal Brothers asks, and you have the time….You answer that summons.

Over all, it was a great day, The weather was wonderful and it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I look forward to doing this time and time again and I hope that some of you will join us next year and help us reach new goals each year.

The Team having the highest raised amount by the beginning of January won a free limo ride to and from the Plunge, and with having pre-registration done the day before, really minimized the time wasted standing in lines.

I want to thank Bro. James Kent SO much for finally getting me to do this, and for his continued Guidance in my continued Masonic Endeavors.  And thanks to ALL those who contributed to our successful goal total.

Now…I give you Images and a video of our day!

Enjoy,
Kevin D. LeQue W.M. George B. Wheeler Lodge #351 Free and Accepted Masons of Wisconsin
